Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does this 4.0 package include a Foot Catch?
No. This review is tied to an RF1105 no-catch package. Rogue exposes Foot Catch as a separate selector option; catch bundles use the same family SKU plus the -FC suffix. Check the selected cart line, not the family name or photo.
Explore this need in the finder →Will the 4.0 base fit a ten-square-foot area?
Rogue lists 24.75 inches rear-foot width by 56.25 inches base length. Their product page gives those linear dimensions, not a square-foot area; the rectangular calculation is about 9.67 square feet before rack, working or doorway clearance. For a catch bundle the catch envelope is unknown.
Explore this need in the finder →Does this 4.0 configuration have an established capacity rating?
The current 4.0 product page and assembly manual reviewed list angles, materials, dimensions and a 130-pound bench weight but do not provide a capacity number. An absent rating does not establish a rating above any threshold.
Explore this need in the finder →Short version: This is Rogue’s Adjustable Bench 4.0 selected with its optional Foot Catch, not the base bench alone. The package preserves the 4.0’s flat, incline and decline positions and adds the removable foot-restraint attachment through the product’s rear receiver. The selector records distinct “-FC” SKUs for catch bundles. Rogue does not publish a capacity rating on the product page checked here, and the manufacturer’s main bench instructions direct buyers who purchased the optional catch to the separate catch-box instructions. This is a document-based review, not a hands-on test.
The included catch changes the package, not the angle list
The 4.0 has ten listed back positions—0°, 15°, 30°, 37.5°, 45°, 52.5°, 60°, 67.5°, 75° and 85°—plus four seat settings at -15°, 0°, 15° and 30°. Rogue describes the seat moving down to -15° so it can be matched with the back for decline exercises. The negative value belongs to the seat setting, not a separately listed negative back angle. The Foot Catch adds a way to secure the user’s feet for decline work; it does not create the bench’s decline capability by itself.
Rogue’s current page makes the Catch an explicit selector choice and lists it as removable. The catch-bundle group observed on the page contains 20 SKU variants ending in “-FC,” across ten colors and two adjustment-rail options. The corresponding 20 no-catch SKUs do not include it. This distinction is more important than a photograph: the 4.0 page’s accessory images show the optional component, but a gallery image is not an order record. Verify the exact “Foot Catch” selection and -FC suffix in the cart or invoice before treating the restraint as supplied.
What the bench underneath is
The catch package uses the same 3-by-3-inch, 11-gauge frame, 12-inch-wide, 52-inch-long made-in-USA textured-foam pad, one-inch pad gap and 130-pound listed bench weight as the no-catch 4.0. It has a Standard or Stainless Steel adjustment-rail selector, with ten frame-color options. Rogue lists wheels and a handle for moving the bench and a built-in upright-storage stand. Those details describe the bench; they do not establish that the attached catch remains installed in every storage position.
The maker says the foot catch is removable, but the reviewed sources do not provide an overall installed length or a separate room footprint for the catch bundle. For that reason this assessment does not assign the catch configuration a square-foot match figure. If your room maximum is strict, measure the exact assembled bench with the catch installed or request a dimension from Rogue rather than using the 9.67-square-foot rectangle calculated from the no-catch base dimensions. That rectangle—24.75 inches across the rear feet by 56.25 inches long—is derived from listed dimensions, not a manufacturer-published area, and it omits movement clearance.
Decline restraint versus other requirements
Adding the catch makes the 4.0 a stronger documented package match for someone who requires both the full position range and a restraint supplied with the bench. It does not answer every safety or fit question. The manufacturer’s page does not say how its stated feature should be interpreted for every user, exercise or load; no independent test is being claimed here. Check whether the restraint’s position and dimensions suit your intended use, and consult the current product instructions before exercising.
Other researched benches meet different combinations. REP’s AB-3000 2.0 includes a six-position leg-roller assembly with its bench and also documents decline. The Adjustable-post AB-5200 2.0 and REP BlackWing models document decline and upright storage but do not document an included restraint. The 4.0 Foot Catch package adds restraint to the 4.0’s documented vertical-storage design, but the page does not establish that the catch must remain attached while the bench is stored upright. Plan for the removable part separately and verify the storage instructions, especially if you do not want to detach it after each use.
Comparison with the Manta Ray catch option
The Manta Ray also has an optional, removable foot catch and a different internal ladder adjustment. It lists five seat settings from -20° to 30° and ten back settings from 0° to 85°, with a 3-by-4-inch, 7-gauge frame and a 140-pound unit weight. Rogue explicitly says the AB-3 Foot Catch is not compatible with the Manta Ray. Do not treat “Rogue Foot Catch” as one generic part or assume a 4.0 catch can transfer to another bench. The product’s own manufacturer selector and model-specific accessory instructions should govern compatibility.
In the 4.0 package, the selected catch is the model-specific RF1105 Foot Catch option. The base product still has four seat settings and the 3-by-3-inch frame. Rogue’s current product page does not publish a capacity rating for the 4.0, and the included bench assembly manual does not state one either. Frame tubing, material and a catch option should not be converted into a capacity figure.
Checks before ordering the Foot Catch bundle
- Confirm the order says “Foot Catch” and includes an exact RF1105 SKU with the -FC suffix. The base no-catch code is a different product configuration.
- Confirm the frame color and Standard or Stainless Steel rail choice; the catch does not replace those independent selectors.
- Ask Rogue or the seller for the installed catch envelope if a maximum room area is critical; the official base-foot dimensions do not specify the catch extension.
- Read the separate Foot Catch instructions if supplied and keep them with the bench manual; Rogue’s main manual only directs buyers to the separate catch-box instructions.
- Check the exact product instructions for upright storage, removal and handling. The catch is removable, but no installed storage footprint is documented in the reviewed material.
- Do not rely on this 130-pound weight as a load rating. The current 4.0 page does not publish a capacity number.
Choose this version only if the included restraint is worth the additional package and its still-unknown installed floor envelope. It keeps the 4.0’s angle range, textured pad and upright-storage design, while the specific catch and -FC SKU distinguish it from the visually similar base unit. If you do not need a restraint, the no-catch configuration avoids conflating an accessory with the bench itself. If you do need one, validate the exact bundle rather than purchasing the base SKU and assuming the attachment is in the box.
